The last few weekends have been so much fun. We had a garage sale a few weeks ago that actually ended up being quite successful for being thrown together at last minute. Justin has been teaching Hailey how to rope so that has been really fun to watch as well. Anyway, Enjoy the pics!

Nothing Special

Well, nothing exciting going on around here. We find out next Friday if our little baby is a boy or a girl. I am so excited! Justin's parents just bought a farm about 1 mile down the road from us. It has an in ground pool with a water slide and is an absolutely beautiful home with enough land for us to board a couple of horses there. So, we are very excited.

Justin is officially graduated and a journeyman. I am so proud of him. It will be so nice to have him home every night instead of him having to go to school directly after work and get home around 10pm. Hailey and I are very happy about that.

This Sat. there are about 60 garage sales going on in a really nice neighborhood close to us. I am hoping to cash in on some baby stuff. Other than that, just life as usual.

In continuing with today's blog discussion...

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

We had a BBQ on Sun. and I was speaking with one of Justin's friends girlfriends and another girl who is a good friend of mine. Justin's friends girlfriend who we will call Susan, was talking about a friend of ours who is struggling with her marriage because her and her husband are constantly fighting about who will clean the house, cook dinner, make lunches, ect... both of them work so this friend thinks that all the responsibilities of the home are equal however, her husband does not. Susan was saying how her mom always made lunch for her dad, kept the house clean, and had dinner on the table when he got home and how she never wanted to be that kind of woman. That her and her boyfriend are equal and how she thought this other friend of hers should just leave her husband because he obviously did not think of them as an equal team. She looked at me and said "what would you do if Justin treated you like that" I said "Susan, I cannot imagine not wanting to do those things for my family and husband. Unfortunately, I do not always do them but I make an effort and I certainly hope that I can be that kind of wife and mother someday. I can't imagine having the mind set of not wanting to do those things for my husband because I work too and he can do it himself." I should have stopped right there but unfortunately the Swartzendruber in me took over and I continued to say "maybe that is why ??? is on the verge of divorce and why you are not married yet." Well, that was pretty much the end of my night. My poor friend Joy who is getting married in 3 weeks just sat there listening in horror however, I did hear her chuckle even though she will deny it. As much as I hate to admit it. I am glad for how my mother raised me and thankful Justin's mother raised him the same way, expecting those things but also grateful. I look forward to the day when I can stay at home and caring for my family will be my full time job. Until then my resolve is even greater to have dinner on the table, make my husband's lunch, and keep the house kept up... because that is my most important job.
